In our ongoing commitment to multi-media events, Perfomedia presents Chicago Ear and Eye Control, a three part series of improvisational music/film events curated by Chicago recording artist Ken Vandermark with the assistance of film maker Carolyn Faber. Vandermark, who has worked with a variety of improvising ensembles, including the NRG Ensemble, the Vandermark Quartet, Steel Wool and other, will lead a select group of musicians who will create live improvised scores to narrative and experimental films. The original soundtracks of the films in the series will not be heard. Instead, different soundtracks will be created by the musicians while the film is showing, creating an entirely new synergetic experience.
