The fifth National Poetry Video Festival opens with a screening of THE POSTMAN (IL POSTINO).

This Academy Award nominated film was inspired by the life of renowned Chilean poet and diplomat, Pablo Neruda. THE POSTMAN is a tribute to the poet?s ability to write of both love and politics. Audience members are invited downstairs to the Chopin Theatre lounge following the film for an informal salon discussion led by Reginald Gibbons and Ray Gonzalez.
