Vocalist Bates(Linnaeus) soars four octaves through a compelling landscape of harmonic filigree and ringing, hypnotic rhythms. Layered within the instrumentation is Fammeree's poetry "lush in the tradition of French symbolism, psychological and sensual." (Manfred Gordon, Cambridge Universiy.) Hamid Drake is a premier improvisational and drummer/percussionist, who has performed with various reggae groups, world music ensembles, jazz and alternative music groups. Drake has worked with such jazz greats as Don Cherry, Fred Anderson and Foday Musa Suso and crrently tours with Pharaoh Saunders and Mandingo. Irina Kaufman, violinist, has performed with the Radio Philharmonia of Min.k and the Bewlarus Estrada Symphony orchestra. Kaufman has toured throughout western and eastern Europe with Russia's famous Bewlarus Folk Music Ensemble. In Chicago she also plays with the maxwell Street Klezmer Band. Barbara Bates has performed original productions throughout the United States, Belgium, France and Tunsia. Richard Fammeree has read by invitation of the Poetry Center of Chicago. He has performed his poetry and music in the US, Ireland, england, France, Israel, Turkey and the Czech Republic. His poems have recently appeared in Opus Literary Review and Pegasus.
