Begins a Scar Photo & Poetry Project
Dear Friends,
We hope you're spending Thanksgiving weekend in happiness and safely surrounded by your closest ones during these critical times. Perhaps this also could be a time for reflection of our bigger, human family as well.
Recently I was honored to be a very small part of this extraordinary exhibition, Begins A Scar, a collaboration between world renown photographer Sandro Miller and poet and recipient of Library of Congress Bobbitt Prize Patricia Smith. It confronts the issue of name calling and the scars that follow. I have been identified by some of those names but I fully realize that other peoples "names" are much more devastating and have long lasting effects on their lives.
Hope that those powerful photographs and overwhelming poem brings more empathy to the subject.

BAL W OPERZE Teatr Nasz
Napisany w 1936 roku, w całości wydany dopiero w 1982 roku.

Slawomir Mrozek (1930 – 2013) is perhaps the most important playwright of the 20th century and a massive contributor to the Theater of the Absurd. Though most of his works were written in Poland during the Cold War, they are as poignant and resonant in our contemporary socio-political environment of manufactured consent as they were then! -

The goal of the conference is to examine urban enclaves not as monolithic areas of habitation but rather as places of intersection, collision, coexistence, and exchange between classes, races, ideologies, ethnic groups, artistic styles, and private modes of everyday living.
