A native of Trinidad & Tobago, Roger Bonair-Agrad attended Hunter College in New York City. His latest incarnation as poet & writer s about five years old and he has performed in several venues throughout the country. He was the Nuyorican Poets? Caf‚ Fresh Poet of the Year 1998 and coached the Nuyorican team to its first ever victory at the National Slam in August 1998. Roger is the author of ??and chaos congealed?, his first major collection of poetry. On tap is Narrative Tongues scheduled for Fall2000. He teaches workshops and lives in Harlem, New York.

Orlando Ricardo Menes? poems and translations have appeared in such literary magazines as Ploughshares, Antioch Reivew, Indiana Review, Notre Dame Review, Caribbean Writer, and Seneca Review. He has been an assistant editor of Rio, an on-line literary and arts magazine. In 1999, Menes was a finalist in the University of Illinois Press Poetry Series for his second collection, Rumba atop the Stones which is being considered by a number of presses. Menes has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and is the winner of the Charles Goodnow Award in Creative Writing.
