Collaboration between different artists and art forms is at the heart of Voces Y Videos/Voices and Videos, a bilingual program that mixes poetry, music and video art. Miguel Lopez-Lemus, a Mexican poet in exile, speaks of women, love memories and alienation. Responding to his poetry is video artist Maria Benfield, whose video works will accompany performances by Lorena Rivera, Perla Rubalcaba and Miguel Lopez-Lemus. Also featured are live drumming by Amelia Soto and Latin American classical music interpreted by Regina Sirkin (piano), Maruca Helguera (cello), Solage Sior (soprano), along with video contributions by Eric Torres.
