KRAKOW JAZZ NONET All Souls Jazz

Monday April 14th - Direct from National School of Music in Krakow, Krakow Jazz Nonet presents a Spring concert combining Jazz standards, Classical Music and Polish compositions including works of Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Bronislaw Kaper, Benny Golson and Janusz Bielecki. 

 

The evening begins with piano performance by Marcin Januszkiewicz.

Krakow Jazz Nonet  band counts nine young, talented musicians: rhythm section - piano, bass guitar/contrabass, drums, vibraphone and five saxophones, starting with the baritone and ending up with the soprano saxophone.  Within the brass section a saxophone quartet emerges, which performs jazz standards.
 
Jazz Nonet is composed of current and former students of music academies faculties of jazz in Krakow and Katowice.  The program includes the original arrangements of well known jazz standards, among others Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Bronislaw Kaper and Benny Golson.  The concert will also feature songs of Polish composer Janusz Bielecki - great enthusiast of music and patron of the arts, which has been supporting the development of music and young musicians in Poland.  His compositions are performed on the world scenes from all continents.  The team has prepared this music arrangements combining jazz and classical music.

Krakow Jazz Nonet is a band founded by Kazimierz Chludka, jazz saxophonist and teacher at the National School of Music “Wladyslaw Żeleoskiego” in Krakow.  The band is composed of his current and former students, current students of music academies faculties of jazz in Krakow and Katowice.  The program includes the original arrangements of known jazz standards, among others Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Bronislaw Kaper and Benny Golson.  The concert will also feature songs of Polish composer Janusz Bielecki - great enthusiast of music and patron of the arts, which has been supporting the development of music and young musicians in Poland.  His compositions are performed on the world scenes from all continents.  The team has prepared this music arrangements combining jazz and classical music. Furthermore,
the program's author Kazimierz Chludka composition, written under the influence of an enjoyable stay previous years in Cincinnati.
