Last winter, Tompkins Square released All Kinds of You, an impressive album of acoustic finger style guitar tracks that saw RYLEY stretching his legs with a band in the studio. The new album, out tomorrow (3.31.15), continues the evolution of this "true American guitar player" with graceful flow and circular shimmers, not to mention a mixture of new and old Chicago players from the post-rock and jazz communities that add a visceral edge to the songs and give them a life of their own in a live setting. Flowing, earthy acoustic work cascades from WALKER's hands and he's been reborn as a troubadour, which he carries on exploring to this day.
